An Homage to "Char's Counterattack"!? Blindfolded Char Transforms with Slicked-back Hair—“Great Direction” in Episode 11 of the Anime “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX”

Char Aznable (voiced by Yūki Shin) is just so breathtakingly handsome without his mask...! In episode 11 of “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX,” when he slicks back his long bangs, viewers were utterly charmed—and some even pointed out that his appearance might be an homage to the film “Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack.”

In episode 11, it is revealed that the mysterious young man Shirouz, who had been operating behind the scenes around Iomagnusso, is actually Char. Pressed by Kycillia Zabi (voiced by Kaori Nazuka), he pushes up his long bangs and shows his true face, saying, “It has been a while, Lady Kycillia.”

Many viewers had their hearts stolen by Char’s strikingly handsome face, which had until then been hidden either by a mask or his bangs.
