Loulan Consort Hurts Jinshi... Her Final Dance as the "Villainess" Leaves Viewers in Tears in Episode 47 of the Anime "The Apothecary Diaries"

In Episode 47 of the anime "The Apothecary Diaries," which began airing on June 27, viewers were left reacting with comments like "It's painful" and "I can't believe it ended like this" as Loulan Consort, also known as Shisui (voiced by Asami Seto), who was close to Maomao (voiced by Aoi Yuki), fulfilled her role as a "villainess."

In Episode 47, "The Clan of the Child," the imperial guard led by Jinshi (voiced by Takeo Otsuka) defeated the rebel Shishou (voiced by Chō). Loulan Consort then threatened Jinshi and took him to a room where her mother, Shenmei (voiced by Rica Fukami), and her sister, Suirei (voiced by Kaori Nazuka), were present. There, Loulan Consort revealed that Shenmei had actually been sent to the harem as a hostage and explained the circumstances under which Shishou had deliberately instigated a rebellion as a traitor.

Upon learning the truth and being provoked by Loulan Consort, Shenmei attempted to shoot Loulan Consort with a feifa. However, due to a trap set by Loulan Consort, the feifa misfired, and Shenmei lost her strength.

Loulan Consort then asked Jinshi for two favors. The first was to spare those who had been exiled by Shenmei and Suirei, who had abandoned their names, as if they were already dead. The second was to allow her to scar Jinshi's face, which resembled the previous emperor, as a substitute for Shenmei, whose life had been derailed by the former emperor. Jinshi did not resist, and Loulan Consort sliced his cheek.

After saying, "I wonder if I can become a better actor than my father," Loulan Consort went outside, laughing like a "villainess" as she danced vividly. Jinshi's subordinates, who rushed to the scene, fired upon Loulan Consort after seeing the injured Jinshi. Although Suirei reached out to the falling Loulan Consort, her hand could not reach, and Loulan Consort fell from the fort with a satisfied smile.
