Exciting Development! The Moment of Sensing a Former Rival in "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" is Too Cool

In episode 14 of the anime "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam," the protagonist of First Gundam, Amuro Ray (CV: Toru Furuya), makes a significant return. However, his entrance is both shocking and intensely moving.

Kamille Bidan (CV: Nobuo Tobita) and the AEUG (Anti-Earth Union Group), having escaped Jaburo, are caught by surprise when they encounter Titans forces without having amassed enough strength. Though they manage to fend off an initial attack, they are quickly ambushed again. They struggle against the high-mobility attacks of the state-of-the-art transformable mobile armor Asshimar.

Into this precarious situation, a suddenly appearing, unarmed transport plane—not a ship or anything else—dives in. Piloting it is the former hero, Amuro.

Having been living a semi-secluded life imposed by the Earth Federation Forces, Amuro reunites with Fraw Kobayashi (formerly Fraw Bow) and learns that Hayato Kobayashi has joined Karaba, the anti-Earth Federation resistance network on Earth, opposing the Titans. After seeing Fraw off at the airport, Amuro, along with Katz, manages to evade surveillance and hijack a transport plane, pursuing the super-large transport ship of the Garuda class, Audumbla, that Hayato and the others are on.

Without weapons or mobile suits, Amuro takes bold action, ramming the transport plane into Asshimar. It is a decisive, single-strike "comeback" that dispels the frustrations of his days past.
