Char’s “Salute Bazooka” Perfectly Recreated! Fans Electrified by the Homage to the Original “Kycillia Blowing Up Scene” in the Final Episode of the Anime “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX”

As expected, even in the Reiwa era, Kycillia Zabi (voiced by Kaori Nazuka) gets hit by a bazooka...! In the final episode of the anime “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX,” Char Aznable (voiced by Yūki Shin)’s salute and Kycillia’s final moment fired up fans as an homage to the original “Mobile Suit Gundam.”

In the last episode, a red Gundam piloted by Char Aznable (voiced by Yūki Shin) stood in front of the warship carrying Kycillia. Alongside Char’s murmured words, “You were a good superior officer. From now on, get along well with Supreme Commander Gihren…”, the red Gundam saluted. Then, it fired its bazooka, blowing Kycillia away together with her warship.

Many Gundam fans, grinning as they remembered Kycillia’s demise in the original “Mobile Suit Gundam,” seemed to enjoy this sequence. In the final episode of the original series, Char also saluted before sniping at Kycillia with a bazooka.
