You Wouldn't Have Noticed Unless Someone Told You! Different Ending Due to Animation Change in "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam"

Episode 39 of the anime "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" features the reappearance of the reforged human Rosamia Badam (voiced by Kayoko Fujii), as well as a shift in the relationship between Kamille Bidan (Nobuo Tobita) and Fa Yuiry (Miyuki Matsuoka). However, what is quietly gaining attention among fans is not the main story, but what comes “afterwards”.

So, what exactly has attracted so much attention? It is the ending animation. Starting from this 39th episode, the ending sequence’s animation was replaced. It’s the familiar cut of Fa and Haro running with a cosmic backdrop, but there are subtle differences: the movement of the body, the way the hair sways, even the color of the clothes. This difference is also backed up by a change in the credits, with different animators listed than in episodes 1 through 38.

The ending for episodes 1 through 38 was handled by Yasuomi Umetsu, known for works like the "MEZZO" series. From episode 39 onwards, Hiroyuki Kitazume, a core member of the Zeta Gundam animation team, took over. Thus, the “Fa by Umetsu” was passed on to the “Fa by Kitazume.”
