In the final episode, "Riders in the Skies," Kamille faces off against his archenemy, Paptimus Scirocco. It appears he’s won by transforming the Z Gundam into Wave Rider mode and crashing through the cockpit of The O, but the price is unbearably high.

"There’s not enough air in here. Can I get out? Hey! Somebody! Let me out! Please!" Kamille cries out to no one in particular, looking up into the void and laughing. The boy who once was Kamille could no longer be seen in this hollow figure.

Kamille’s "life" was reduced to zero countless times along the way, and by the time he finally reached the goal, he was utterly spent. Even after being battered to the point of ruin, who could ever call Kamille weak for fighting on? Kamille Bidan embodied both the pain and resolve that are at the very core of "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam"—and it would not be an exaggeration to say so.

The anime "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" was produced by Sunrise and aired from March 1985 to February 1986. It is a robot anime sequel depicting the events seven years after the One Year War in "Mobile Suit Gundam." The series also gave rise to the "Gunpla" craze. Many works in the Gundam franchise and numerous spin-offs have since been produced, and the series remains extremely popular to this day.
