A Rom-Com Between an “Unattractive Girl” and the Popular Guy Begins! ‘April Showers Bring May Flowers’ Anime Episode 1 Synopsis & Preview Cuts Released

The synopsis and preview scene cuts for Episode 1 of the new summer anime ‘April Showers Bring May Flowers’ have been released.

The series is based on the manga of the same name by Roku Sakura, serialized in "Young Ace" (published by KADOKAWA) from 2016 to 2022. The TV anime will begin airing sequentially on TOKYO MX, MBS, and BS NTV starting Friday, July 4th, and will also be available for free streaming on ABEMA every Friday at 11:00 PM from July 4th.

The story follows Hana Tabata (voiced by Saori Hayami), a high school girl who lacks self-confidence regarding her appearance and has little romantic experience. Her school life takes a turn when, early one morning in the classroom, she is witnessed in an “embarrassing moment” by Yōsuke Ueno (voiced by Shimba Tsuchiya), the most popular and attractive guy at the top of the school caste. With Hana and Yōsuke at the center, this is a fresh new school romantic comedy full of gags, gags, and the occasional heart-fluttering moment!
