Momo vs. the Fundoshi Musclemen Horde! The Battle Scenes in the First Episode of the “DANDADAN” Season 2 Anime Are Intense from the Start

The anime “DANDADAN” began airing its second season on July 3. The sight of men clad only in fundoshi attacking “Momo”––Momo Ayase (voiced by Shion Wakayama)––elicited a flood of reactions online such as, “These guys are way too terrifying.”

In Episode 13, “So This Is the Great Serpent Legend,” which kicks off Season 2, Momo visits the home of “Jiji,” Jin Enjōji (voiced by Kaito Ishikawa), only to find the entire Kitō family there. On the floor, both “Okarun,” Ken Takakura (voiced by Natsuki Hanae), and Jiji lie collapsed in a beaten state...

The most powerful matriarch of the Kitō family, Naki Kitō (voiced by Masako Isobe), cackles suspiciously, saying, “At last, all the offerings are here. Then, shall we begin the festival?” Realizing the danger, Momo immediately launches an attack. However, a group of muscular men in fundoshi swarm and restrain her, putting her in grave peril. Suddenly, Turbo Granny (voiced by Mayumi Tanaka) springs out from Momo’s backpack. Startled, one of the men topples, and Momo narrowly escapes danger. However, this time Naki bombards Momo with a relentless assault.

From the very first episode of the new season, incredibly impactful fights unfold, and viewers are excitedly commenting, “These people are way too scary,” “Grandma Naki Kitō is way too strong, who or what is she?” and “I thought Ms. Ayase was tough, but the Kitō family grandma is even tougher!”
