Taku Yashiro & Ai Kayano Speak Out! Special Cast Broadcast for the Anime “Sword of the Demon Hunter” to Air for Free on July 13 (Sunday)

A special program, “Sword of the Demon Hunter TV Anime Retrospective Special,” will be exclusively broadcast for free on ABEMA on July 13, 2025 (Sunday) starting at 8:00 PM.

“Sword of the Demon Hunter,” an epic Japanese-style fantasy by Motoo Nakanishi, is set in a world infested with demons. The story follows Jinta, a demon-slayer, whose journey begins when he encounters a mysterious demon that speaks of a faraway future. The anime depicts a tale of demon hunters traveling through a staggering 170 years. The TV anime has been airing for two consecutive cours since April 2025, and its heart-wrenching yet warm story that carefully portrays the feelings of both humans and demons has garnered widespread popularity.

This newly announced special program, “Sword of the Demon Hunter TV Anime Special,” set for exclusive free broadcast on ABEMA, will feature Taku Yashiro (as Jinta/Jinya) and Ai Kayano (as Ofū). With Haruka Mori serving as MC, the show will look back on the story so far with a digest, and will also include a segment titled “I Want That Power!” where Yashiro and Kayano talk about the abilities they wish they could have, inspired by Jinta’s ability to absorb the powers of demons.
