[Photos/Images] The whereabouts of the hairpin that Maomao received from Jinshi... The survival of the presumed dead Loulan suggested in the final episode of the second season of "The Apothecary Diaries" 1st

In the 48th episode of the anime "The Apothecary Diaries," which has been airing sequentially since July 4th, there is a scene suggesting that the missing Shisui, also known as Loulan (voiced by Asami Seto), is alive. The hopeful ending brought reactions from viewers who were moved to tears and delighted by the "salvageable conclusion."

As the suppression of the tribe begins, Louran, who has resolved herself, receives a hairpin from Jinshi (voiced by Takeo Otsuka), and Maomao (voiced by Aoi Yuki) prays for her survival by giving it to her and saying, "Return it someday." Subsequently, despite Maomao's wishes, Loulan was shot by a forbidden army and went missing after falling from a height...

However, in the ending of the 48th episode, "The Beginning," which is the final episode of the second season, a woman named Tamamo visits a street stall in a port town. Tamamo shows interest in an item shaped like a cicada, saying, "Is this a cicada?" which reminds one of Loulan, who loved insects. Tamamo attempts to barter with the shopkeeper, taking out a hairpin from her pocket that closely resembles the one Maomao gave. The hairpin also bears marks as if it was struck by a bullet.

As Tamamo successfully acquires the item and says, "Well then, thank you," her face is shown, and although her hairstyle is different, her appearance and smile are the spitting image of Loulan. Furthermore, in the same scene, Tamamo's cast credit is displayed, showing the name of Asami Seto, who voices Loulan. The ending scene suggests that Loulan miraculously survived and has begun a new life.
