In the original manga, the anatomical model purely enjoyed playing tag, but in this anime version, lines like "peel the skin" were added, creating a tense scene. Online, there was a buzz, with comments like "scarier than the original!" and "being chased with 'I'll peel you!' is too scary" and "the game of tag with the anatomical model was terrifyingly structured and insane."

"Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube" is a popular manga originally serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1993 to 1999 by author Sho Makura and illustrator Takeshi Okano, with a total series circulation of 29 million copies. It is an occultic hero action story about Nube, a psychic teacher with a demon hand, known as Meisuke Nueno (voiced by Ryotaro Okiayu), who protects his students from yokai and evil spirits. The new anime, which aired from 2025, carries over some of the cast from the original 1996 anime version.
