When Shiki Regained Consciousness, What Awaited Him Was... Tougen Anki Episode 2 Synopsis & Preview Cuts Released

The synopsis and preview cuts for Episode 2 of the anime Tougen Anki have been released.

Tougen Anki is based on the manga by Yura Urushibara, serialized in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion, and has surpassed 4 million copies in total circulation. Inspired by the Japanese folktale "Momotaro," the story depicts the conflict between those who inherit the blood of oni (demons) and those who inherit the blood of Momotaro.

Shiki Ichinose (voiced by Kazuki Ura) was living an ordinary life as a human boy when he is suddenly attacked by a mysterious man belonging to the "Momotaro Organization." While fleeing with his adoptive father, Shiki discovers that their pursuers are descended from Momotaro of the folktales and that he himself carries the blood of the oni. This is the story of descendants of the Momotaro and oni from the old tale, but set in the present day, differing from the classic "Once upon a time, there was an old man and an old woman" narrative.
