The internet was abuzz over Amane, whose cuteness rivaled any real-life girl: “Himeno-san is a guy!?”, “He doesn’t look like a boy at all. I’m in love,” and “Amane-kun moving around is just too cute!!!!” Murase’s performance, which made it difficult to believe a woman wasn’t behind the voice, also drew comments such as “Murase-san’s girl voice is dangerously strong—,” “As expected, Ayumu Murase’s voice scrambles my brain (give us more),” and “Murase-san’s female voice is so flawless, it’s amazing.”

"My Dress-Up Darling" (Japanese title: Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru) is based on the manga of the same name by Shinichi Fukuda. The story follows shy high school boy Wakana Gojō and the beautiful and popular gyaru girl Marin Kitagawa as they grow closer through the world of cosplay.
