Shin Awakens in a Desperate Situation! Viewers Rave Over the Thrilling Battle: "The Production Was Amazing," "This Is Incredible Right From the Start" – Anime "Sakamoto Days" Season 2

The second cour of the "Sakamoto Days" anime began airing on July 14. In this season, viewers were thrilled by a development in which the Esper Shin Asakura (voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki) awakens his abilities in a desperate situation, with reactions such as, "This is incredible right from the start of Season 1 Part 2. The momentum is through the roof!" and "The performance of Shin's awakening was great."

In episode 12, titled "Overload," the first episode of the second cour, Shin and Lu Shaotang (voiced by Ayane Sakura) find themselves in grave danger after being attacked by the death-row convict Saw (voiced by Kōsuke Toriumi). Saw jeers, saying, "I'm looking forward to this. After I kill you two, next will be Sakamoto's family," and, "I wonder what he'll do when his family is killed?" all with a sinister smile.

Realizing that his beloved Tarō Sakamoto (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita) might also be harmed, Shin's eyes suddenly glow blue. In his awakened state, Shin fends off Saw's attacks without even looking, declaring, "I can see it—the future in store for you." His seemingly precognitive reactions allow him to respond to Saw's movements, and he counters, saying, "I won't let you hurt the people I care about!" turning the tables and putting Saw on the defensive.
