[Photos/Images] It's Not Just the Original! Fans Shocked as Key Zeta Gundam Characters Appear One After Another in "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" 1st

In Episode 6 of the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX," characters familiar from "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" suddenly appeared, leaving viewers' minds flooded with "!?". The unexpected turn of events took everyone by surprise.

The characters who suddenly showed up in the story were Bask Om (voiced by Hiroki Yasumoto) and Gates Capa (voiced by Ayumu Murase), both well-known from "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam." Up to this point, "GQuuuuuuX" had followed a parallel storyline based on the original Gundam. However, as the infamously extreme Bask Om, the very symbol of the Titans' ultranationalist ideology, appeared in this episode, social media was abuzz: "I can't believe they're even bringing in Zeta Gundam content now!"

Officially ranked as "Major," Bask Om's actions were exactly as they had been "back then." He introduced himself as part of the private company "Amarakamara Trading," attempting to carry out an assassination plot against Kycillia. His behavior was so ominous that it had viewers fearing, "Is he going to gas the colonies again?"

Meanwhile, Gates, whose fate was left ambiguous in the main Zeta Gundam series and whose departure was also unclear, appeared here as a Lieutenant. Showing up again as Bask's subordinate, he drew a wave of pessimistic reactions from fans, such as, "It hurts to think about what happens to enhanced humans..."

With a steady barrage of "dark keywords" from Zeta Gundam—Murasame Research Institute, Psycho Gundam, and preparations to establish special forces—viewers' perceptions began to change. Though "GQuuuuuuX" had originally been thought of as an "alternate universe" of the original Gundam, it was now boldly injecting Zeta Gundam elements right into the story.
