Currently, the anime "The Apothecary Diaries" is being streamed in full. It is based on the light novel of the same name by Hyuganatsu. The series has also been adapted into manga in two monthly magazines, with total cumulative sales exceeding 40 million copies. The TV anime aired consecutively for two cours starting October 2023, gaining significant attention and popularity for its mystery drama involving Maomao working as a "poison tester" in the rear palace, as well as the comical interactions between Maomao and Jinshi. The second season of the anime was broadcast starting January 2025.
