"Stunned by the Gap"—Saori Hayami's Airheaded Character Goes on a Rampage with a Power Saw! Sakamoto Days Episode 13

Episode 13 of the anime Sakamoto Days began airing sequentially from July 21. The scene in which Ōsaragi (voiced by Saori Hayami), who appears frail and demure at first glance, brandishes a massive power saw in battle, has captivated viewers, eliciting comments such as, "I was stunned by the gap between her appearance and her brutal fighting style," and "I love Saori Hayami’s cold performance."

Ōsaragi is a member of “ORDER,” a special ops force directly under the Japanese Association of Assassins. With her slender appearance and striking long black hair, she has an airheaded personality, but when it comes to combat, she becomes extraordinarily dynamic—swinging around a large circular power saw as her weapon. In Episode 13, “Blasphemy,” Ōsaragi faces off against death row inmate Dump (voiced by Yūko Kaida).

Despite losing her weapon, Ōsaragi effortlessly dodges her opponent’s attacks and even leisurely muses to herself, “Oh no, I really don’t want to get too close... I didn’t bring any band-aids today.” Eventually, after reclaiming her weapon, Ōsaragi smiles and says, “It’s because people like you exist that I still have a reason to live today. Thank you. I love you.” She then delivers a devastating blow to Dump with her circular saw.
