A Massive Mural by Tsuyoshi Yasuda, Creator of "DAYS" and "Blue Miburo", Unveiled as Liverpool FC Immersive Exhibition Announced

At Kodansha, “Where Impossible Happens”—an experiential exhibition showcasing the journey of the official global partnership with Liverpool Football Club (hereafter, Liverpool FC)—will be held from Monday, July 28 to Sunday, August 3, 2025, at OPENBASE SHIBUYA in Shibuya. Ahead of this event, a gigantic mural by Tsuyoshi Yasuda, author of "DAYS" and "Blue Miburo," has been unveiled on the exterior wall of the venue.

Liverpool FC claimed the Premier League 24-25 season championship and is visiting Japan for the first time in 20 years. On Wednesday, July 30, they will face Yokohama F. Marinos. Timed with this visit, this exhibition was planned with the theme of the “stories of making dreams a reality” spun by Kodansha and Liverpool FC. It will introduce key initiatives since the partnership began in 2021, and allow visitors, through immersive experiences, to feel as if they themselves have become part of the story—witnessing the very moment where the “impossible” sets into motion.

Culmination of Four Seasons of Partnership

At the heart of this initiative is Kodansha's global purpose: "Inspire Impossible Stories." Kodansha has continually made the "impossible" possible through imagination, transforming it into story through the power of creativity.

On the other hand, Liverpool FC has brought countless miracles and dramas to life on the pitch, moving the hearts of people around the world. The exhibition title, "Where Impossible Happens," embodies both parties’ relentless drive to challenge and realize the “impossible” in their own respective fields—whether in imagination and reality, storytelling and match, publishing and football club—despite their differences.
