The manga "My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren't Wicked" will be adapted into a TV anime, with a teaser visual, PV, cast, and a newly drawn illustration by the original author revealed.

"My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren't Wicked" is a manga by Otsuji, which has surpassed 850,000 copies in total circulation, including digital editions. The story is a heartwarming gap comedy wrapped in kindness, following the young girl Miya Nakamura, who is taken in by the prestigious Kōnokura family after her mother's death. While bracing herself for the cruel treatment she expects as an illegitimate child, Miya is instead bewildered by the gentle love of her stepmother and stepsisters, gradually opening her heart.

With the anime adaptation now confirmed, it was announced that the show will air in 2026. In the teaser visual, Miya stands in the center with a slightly anxious expression, while standing behind her is Teru Kōnokura, the imposing matriarch, and to the lower left are the eldest daughter Marika and the younger daughter Arisa, both giving off ominous, sly grins. The visual captures the image of the "intimidating stepmother and stepsisters" that Miya imagines as she prepares to be taken in by the Kōnokura family.

Additionally, it was announced that Kujira would play the role of Teru Kōnokura, Miya's stepmother, and a comment has been released.
