The second part of the in-depth feature on voice actress Mariya Ise included a passionate discussion about acting at a cafe with her close friend Yuka Terasaki, continuing from the previous episode.

Terasaki asked Ise, "I've always wondered how you approach recording," to which Ise replied, "I make a character résumé." Terasaki resonated, saying, "I do that too!" and the two revealed their unique approaches to voice recording, characteristic of top voice actresses.

Furthermore, Ise shared her own approach: "To grasp the flow of the screenplay’s structure, I always practice at home by voicing out loud. Since the impression changes based on sound and nuance, I practice in multiple patterns." Terasaki showed her surprise at Ise’s unique preparation method.

On the other hand, Terasaki explained, "Once I’ve created the profile, I immerse it within myself and leave the rest to intuition. Once I’ve established the character’s humanity, I don’t vocalize during my at-home VTR checks, but instead focus on the other character’s lines and the situation." This highlighted her contrasting preparation method compared to Ise’s.

Having experience as a stage actress, Terasaki commented on the challenges of being a voice actor: "On stage, you’re always performing, even when you’re not speaking lines. In animation, since you act scene by scene, I try not to mentally switch off between takes. Keeping the emotion consistent is difficult, so I pay attention to the emotional flow in the script and trust the emotion that emerges during recording.” Both found new and interesting insights in each other’s roles and preparation methods, with Terasaki exclaiming, “This is so interesting! We’ve never talked about this before.”
