[Photos/Images] “Targeting the Otaku Crowd!” The Irresistible Gap of Yoshitsugu Matsuoka’s “Dialect Boy” in Episode 3 of the Anime Gachiakuta 1st

In episode 3 of the anime Gachiakuta, which began airing sequentially on July 27, a new character named Zanka (voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka) made his debut. Zanka, the “dialect boy” who speaks in a dialect reminiscent of Hiroshima, has completely captivated viewers, with comments such as “They’re really targeting the otaku crowd!” and “Matsuoka-san’s voice is so good!”

In episode 3, titled “Lower World,” Rudo (voiced by Aoi Ichikawa) encounters his mentor Zanka. When Rudo uses Zanka’s treasured possession without permission, Zanka launches a surprise attack, saying, “Meeting you for the first time and it looks like you already need some educating.” He expresses anger with a blank face, stating, “If you steal someone’s precious belonging, you ought to be prepared for what’s coming to you.”

Although a reconciliation seems to be reached for a moment, the two end up battling anyway. Zanka relentlessly corners Rudo, but when he realizes that his opponent is wielding a toilet plunger as a weapon, he panics in a comical way. “It’s a plunger! A plunger, a plunger!” he cries out, desperately dodging to avoid coming into contact with any filth.
