Jogo attacks Gojo while many civilians are still nearby, hoping to restrain Gojo’s movements. Gojo calmly remarks, “Wow, honestly, I’m surprised,” but Jogo smugly responds, “What’s this? An excuse?” In response, Gojo says, “That’s not it, baldy. I’m just surprised that you really thought you could beat me with just this level of power,” as he takes off his eye mask and shifts into battle mode.

The intense, sharp gaze shown by Gojo—who is usually known for his relaxed attitude—captivated viewers, leading to a flood of comments such as “Bad boy Gojo-sensei was so cool,” “It gave me chills,” and “My heart was racing.”

Jujutsu Kaisen is based on the manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, which has surpassed 100 million copies in circulation (including digital versions). The story begins with Yūji Itadori (voiced by Junya Enoki), who ends up sharing his body with the King of Curses, Ryōmen Sukuna (voiced by Junichi Suwabe), as he transfers to the Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College, a specialized institute for fighting curses. The anime’s second season, which aired from July to December 2023, covered the popular “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” and “Shibuya Incident” arcs from the manga. Production of the sequel, “Culling Game,” has also been confirmed.
