JOYSOUND has announced the results of the "2025 First Half Anime Song Karaoke Rankings by Age Group," investigating the latest trends in karaoke. Additionally, a real-time survey was conducted at the cosplay event "acosta!," resulting in the addition of songs that were previously unavailable for karaoke.
The rankings reveal the anime songs favored by a wide range of age groups, from younger to older generations, as well as distinct trends by age. Most notable is "Lilac," the opening theme for the TV anime "Oblivion Battery," which ranked among the top songs across all generations, from teens and twenties to those in their sixties, making it the defining song of the first half of 2025.

"Lilac," the opening theme of the TV anime "Oblivion Battery," produced by Mrs. GREEN APPLE, dominated the top spot among every age group from teens to thirties. The lyrics that resonate with real-life emotions and the sophisticated sound have evoked strong sympathy, garnering overwhelming support especially among younger audiences.
In addition, "Kaijuu" by Sakanaction, the theme song for the highly acclaimed TV anime "Orb: On the Movements of the Earth," which depicts people in pursuit of the truth through a profound storyline, once again demonstrated its presence as a song that powerfully supports the show’s mysterious and grand world with its unique musicality.
Other recent anime song hits, such as "Bling-Bang-Bang-Born" by Creepy Nuts (R-Shitei & DJ Matsunaga), which gained worldwide popularity as the opening theme for the TV anime "Mashle: Magic and Muscles," and "Idol" by YOASOBI, which made headlines as the opening theme for the TV anime "Oshi no Ko," also ranked high in the list.

Among people in their twenties and thirties, the in-show song "God knows..." (Haruhi Suzumiya, voiced by Aya Hirano) from the 2006 TV anime "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" ranked high, illustrating that anime songs that colored their youth continue to be supported today.
