Momotaro Agency Attacks the Oni... Anime "Tougen Anki" Episode 5 Synopsis & Preview Images Released

The synopsis and preview images for Episode 5 of the anime "Tougen Anki" have been released.

"Tougen Anki" is based on the popular manga by Yura Urushibara, currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten), with the series surpassing a total of 4 million copies in circulation. Drawing inspiration from the well-known Japanese folktale "Momotaro," the story depicts the conflict between descendants of the Oni and those who inherit the blood of Momotaro.

The story follows Shiki Ichinose (CV: Kazuki Ura), a boy living an ordinary life as a human. One day, he is suddenly attacked by a mysterious man belonging to the "Momotaro Agency." While fleeing with his foster father, Shiki learns that their pursuers are descendants of Momotaro and that he himself has inherited the blood of the Oni. This is a story not about the grandpa and grandma from the classic folktale, but about modern-day descendants of Momotaro and the Oni.
