Yu Serizawa, Maria Naganawa, Reiji Kawashima, and Masaaki Mizunaka Transform into Cats to Take on a Giant Concentration Game!

■Transforming into Cats for the “Nyaight of the Living Cat” Collaboration Project!

For the “Nyaight of the Living Cat” collaboration event, “Collect the Cats! Meow Meow Concentration Game,” the four participants donned cat costumes and challenged a giant game of concentration. Divided into two teams—the Yo Asobi Team, featuring Serizawa and Maria Naganawa, and the Nyaight Team, with Mizunaka and Kawashima—they competed using enormous cards featuring 15 types of cats from the show. The losing team would have to play with the “Smelly Cat Teaser” for 30 seconds as a penalty game.

Serizawa declared, “Just so you know, the ‘smelliness’ of this program isn’t a joke, nya!” and pumped herself up with “I’m going all out, nya!” as the showdown began. As the Nyaight Team struggled and began to interact much like cats, exclamations of “Is this a cat fight?!” and “Play nice, nya!” could be heard. As Serizawa and Naganawa’s team smoothly matched pairs, Mizunaka remarked, “You’re showing no mercy to the guests, nya.”

As the game came to its climax and few cards remained, Serizawa admitted, “I’m sure I pulled this before, but I just can’t remember,” to which Naganawa responded, “I remember it!” and supported her, leading to the Yo Asobi Team collecting all the cards and claiming victory. The winners exclaimed, “That was fun!” and “What a great game, nya~” Meanwhile, as Kawashima from the Nyaight Team faced the penalty round, he complained to Mizunaka, “The ‘Yo Asobi’ stench is really the real deal, nya…” Before the punishment, gas masks were distributed to the Yo Asobi Team, and the Nyaight Team nervously wondered what kind of smell awaited them. When the penalty actually began, their visible suffering showed just how bad it was. In the end, Kawashima grabbed the cat teaser from a staff member and swung it around the studio.
