What Makes Minami Hinata, Yurina Amami, Aoi Koga, and Yoshino Aoyama Swoon? Interview with Voice Actors from “Dealing with Mikadono Sisters Is a Breeze”

The TV anime “Dealing with Mikadono Sisters Is a Breeze” is set to begin airing sequentially on TOKYO MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, BS11, MBS and other networks starting July 9, 2025. The original manga of the same title, currently serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday, has become a hit, surpassing 1.5 million copies sold.

This work is a home romantic comedy in which protagonist Yū Ayase ends up living in a mansion with the three Mikadono sisters: Kazuki, Niko, and Miwa. Although Yū is the son of a famous actress, he is fated to live as an ordinary person. Nonetheless, his hard work and good looks are depicted in such a way that not just the sisters, but anyone, would find themselves smitten by him.

During interviews with Minami Hinata (Yū Ayase), Yurina Amami (Kazuki Mikadono), Aoi Koga (Niko Mikadono), and Yoshino Aoyama (Miwa Mikadono), each voice actor was asked about the gestures or points about Yū that make their hearts skip a beat. Each responded with their own thoughts.

Yurina Amami, who plays the eldest daughter Kazuki, highlighted “the way Yū understands parts of me that I didn’t even know myself.” She added with a smile, “What’s more, he straightforwardly praises those parts and tells you ‘you’re amazing’ with such sincere eyes. That’s what’s great about Yū, and if someone did that to me, I’d be done for (laughs).”

When Aoi Koga agreed, saying, “Yū-kun doesn’t see people from others’ perspectives, but genuinely observes us in his own way,” Amami nodded in deep agreement, saying “I totally get it...!”
