In the first season finale of the anime "DANDADAN," the theme songs of "SLAM DUNK" echoed... in the form of a song battle! The "Slam Dunk Sing-Off" that unfolded between two young men over the heroine is a bizarrely memorable scene that had viewers laughing, commenting, "Singing Slam Dunk all of a sudden is hilarious."
In the 12th episode, which served as the first season finale, Ken "Okarun" Takakura (voiced by Natsuki Hanae) was growing jealous of the natural rapport between Momo Ayase (voiced by Shion Wakayama) and her childhood friend, Jin "Jiji" Enjoji (voiced by Kaito Ishikawa).
Okarun, having heard that Jiji was Momo's first love, decides to confront him. With a glint in his glasses, he declares, "I've decided I'm not backing down. I've decided to fight, no matter what," and then abruptly breaks into "Anata Dake Mitsumeteru" by Maki Ohguro, the ending theme from the anime "SLAM DUNK."
