As Okarun sang "Anata Dake Mitsumeteru" ("I'm Only Watching You") to provoke Jiji, Jiji enthusiastically responded in kind. He shot back by singing "Kimi ga Suki da to Sakebitai" ("I Want to Shout 'I Love You'") by BAAD, the opening theme from "SLAM DUNK," turning the provocation right back at Okarun.

This mysterious development, where two men competed over a woman by passionately singing classic "SLAM DUNK" songs at each other, had viewers flooding social media with laughter and incredulous comments like, "Singing Slam Dunk out of nowhere is hilarious," "Don't turn this into a theme song battle lol," and "I never thought Slam Dunk would show up in this anime, let alone both the OP and ED."

The anime "DANDADAN," currently available for binge-watching, is based on the popular manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, serialized in "Shonen Jump+" (Shueisha). It's an "occultic battle and coming-of-age story" following Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic, as they fight against various supernatural phenomena.
