Quiz Showdown in Elementary School Outfits with Randoseru and School Hats! Showtaro Morikubo & Katsuya Fukunishi's "Ugly Dispute" Breaks Out During Karuta!?

On Saturday, August 2, 2025, starting at 9:00 PM JST, episode #13 of "Say You to Yo asobi Saturday" was broadcast on ABEMA's "Anime LIVE Channel." This time, the episode featured an elementary school theme, with Showtaro Morikubo, Nobuhiko Okamoto, and Katsuya Fukunishi appearing dressed as elementary school students, complete with randoseru backpacks and school hats.

■ Showtaro Morikubo in Tantrum Mode, Crying "I Hate Math!?" 

In a segment titled "Showdown with Elementary School Quizzes! Yo-asobi Summer Cram School!", the hosts faced off in a quiz competition featuring content they learned in their elementary school days. Okamoto showed his enthusiasm, declaring, "Maybe I'll show off how smart I am," while Fukunishi added, "Sorry, but you might not get to see our clumsy side today." Conscious of the Wednesday MCs, who are often called "airheaded" (ponkotsu), the three competed fiercely. The quiz progressed according to a school timetable: 1st Period - Japanese, 2nd Period - Math, Recess, 3rd Period - Science, 4th Period - Social Studies, and finally, School Lunch.

In the 1st period, Japanese, both Fukunishi and Morikubo claimed it was their strong suit as they tackled the challenge "Name all the readings of kanji learned in elementary school." Morikubo commented, "We work with words for a living, but you'd be surprised how often you find out something you took for granted is actually wrong," as he answered cautiously. Next, in the "Proverb Karuta Showdown with Magic Hands," they used long-reaching grabbers to snatch proverb cards. Fukunishi, while laughing about the "ugly dispute," remarked, "But this is actually very elementary school-like!" fully embracing the character setting and enjoying the game.

During the 2nd period, Math, all three struggled with decimal calculations in the "Answer the Calculation Problems Learned in Elementary School" quiz. Morikubo was bewildered by a problem, sighing, "I've totally forgotten this stuff..." while Fukunishi also showed his panic, exclaiming, "Whoa! Oh man, whoa!" In the end, Fukunishi was the only one to get the right answer, a triumphant look on his face. The math segment concluded with a "Flash Mental Arithmetic Quiz," where Okamoto retorted, "This is so annoying!" when staff photos were used as a distraction, but he still managed to get the answer. Fukunishi praised him, "Doing flash math while making retorts is just genius!" Meanwhile, Morikubo whined, "I hate math! Can we have recess already!"
