During an experiment with a lotus root, he observed it sinking as water filled its holes, explaining in a childlike voice, "The water goes into the hollow parts!" Okamoto quipped, "Who drilled these holes!?" to which Morikubo replied, "They're natural holes! This is what a lotus root is like!" Fukunishi mediated with a "Don't fight, you two~."
