“Tougen Anki” is based on the popular manga by Yura Urushibara, serialized in “Weekly Shonen Champion” (Akita Shoten). The series is a new-generation dark hero “oni” tale inspired by the legendary Japanese folk tale “Momotaro,” depicting the conflict between those with oni blood and those who descend from Momotaro. The story begins when a boy, Shiki, living as a normal human, is suddenly attacked by a mysterious man belonging to the “Momotaro Agency.”

Episode 5 “A Dangerous Guy”
[Synopsis]
Upon learning about the crisis at the Oni Agency’s Kyoto Branch, Mudano (Naito Mudano) leads Shiki and the others to provide help. In Kyoto, Combat Unit Captain Tsubakiri Momomiya, along with Vice-Captain Yomogi Momokusa and others of the Momotaro Agency, launch an assault on the oni and begin putting a terrifying plan into action. Meanwhile, at the Kyoto Branch of the Oni Agency, the staff are overwhelmed by the influx of wounded. Mudano entrusts Shiki and the others to Kyoya Oiranzaka, the General Commander of the Support Unit, and heads to the front lines to counter the Momotaro attack. While Kōgasaki and others begin assisting with rescue efforts, Shiki is asked to look after a young girl named Mei who has been taken into custody. With cheerfulness, he speaks to Mei, who has been separated from her parents due to the Momotaro Agency’s assault. However, among the bodies brought in shortly afterward, Mei’s parents are found...
