Kyoto Branch Faces Annihilation… Episode 6 Synopsis and Preview Stills Released for Anime “Tougen Anki”

The synopsis and preview stills for Episode 6 of the anime “Tougen Anki” have been released.

“Tougen Anki” is based on the manga by Yura Urushibara, which is a popular series currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion (Akita Shoten) with over 4 million copies sold in total. Using the well-known Japanese folktale “Momotaro” as its motif, the story depicts the conflict between those who inherit the blood of ogres and those who inherit the blood of Momotaro.

Shiki Ichinose (CV: Kazuki Ura), a boy who lived an ordinary life as a normal human, is suddenly attacked one day by a mysterious man belonging to the “Momotaro Agency.” While fleeing with his adoptive father, he discovers that his pursuers are descendants of the folktale hero Momotaro—and that he himself carries the blood of ogres. This is a modern tale of the descendants of Momotaro and ogres, which is quite different from the old story beginning with “Once upon a time, there was an old man and an old woman.”
