One of the main charms of the anime "The Apothecary Diaries" is the relationship between Maomao (voiced by Aoi Yūki), who coolly brushes off Jinshi (voiced by Takeo Ōtsuka)’s teasing advances. Looking back on Maomao’s “salty attitude” in episode 1, it’s amazing how close the two have become since then.

While Maomao is abnormally fixated on poisons and medicines, she is extremely detached about anything else and treats even the outrageously handsome Jinshi in a rather offhand manner.
