A Knight Gallantly Descends from the Sky! “Gundam Gyan” Reimagined with a Reiwa-Era Design Makes an Incredibly Cool Debut in “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX”

The anime “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX,” which features a large roster of iconic mobile suits from the “Gundam” series, has brought renewed attention to the Gyan thanks to its “Reiwa-era redesign.” In episode 7, the scene where the Gyan swoops down from the sky and saves Kycillia Zabi (voiced by Kaori Nazuka) from peril is simply too cool!

In episode 7, an assassination plot against Kycillia is finally put into action, and the Psycho Gundam wreaks havoc across the city. Just as the Psycho Gundam’s menacing grip is about to reach Kycillia, a streak of light cuts through the sky. That light is none other than the Gyan piloted by Xavier Olivette of the Principality of Zeon forces (voiced by Seiichirō Yamashita). Descending gallantly from above, the Gyan becomes a shield for Kycillia.

Although the Gyan has not always been regarded as one of the most “popular mobile suits,” its stylish Reiwa-era design and heroic performance in episode 7 seem to have captivated many fans.
