Recalling a First Love Now Gone... Anime "Tougen Anki" Episode 8 Synopsis & Preview Cuts Released

The synopsis and preview cuts for Episode 8 of the anime “Tougen Anki” have been released.

“Tougen Anki” is based on the manga by Yura Urushibara, which is currently a popular series serialized in “Weekly Shonen Champion” (Akita Shoten) with over 4 million copies in print. The story draws upon the classic Japanese folk tale “Momotaro,” depicting the conflict between those who inherit the blood of oni (demons) and those descended from Momotaro.

Shiki Ichinose (voiced by Kazuki Ura) is a boy who had been living as an ordinary human when he is suddenly attacked one day by a mysterious man belonging to the "Momotaro Agency." While fleeing with his adoptive father, Shiki learns that the pursuer inherits the blood of Momotaro from the folktale, and that he himself carries the blood of the oni. This is a tale of modern-day descendants of Momotaro and the oni—quite different from the one that begins with “Once upon a time, there was an old man and an old woman…”
