Zenitsu’s dramatic comeback caused an uproar online, with comments such as, "Having lots of techniques doesn’t equal strength," "I was truly moved by Zenitsu, who’s a coward but tries his best with all his heart," and "I got serious goosebumps." The dynamic battle scenes, decorated with rumbling thunder and flashes of lightning, were also highly praised, with viewers raving, "The Sixfold was insanely cool," and "They actually recreated the thunder strikes in the sound design, it gave me chills."

The "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" anime series is based on the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotoge, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2016 to 2020. Set in the Taisho era, it tells the story of Tanjirō Kamado, a boy whose family was killed by demons, and his fight against them. The sequel, "Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train," exceeded 50 billion yen in global box office revenue. The manga series now has a worldwide circulation of 220 million copies, making it an unprecedented mega-hit in the history of Japanese manga and anime.

Following the "Unwavering Resolve Arc," the TV anime has continued with the "Entertainment District Arc," the "Swordsmith Village Arc," and the "Hashira Training Arc," and it has been announced that the climactic episodes, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle," will be produced as a trilogy. The first chapter, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle Part 1 - Akaza’s Return," which premiered on July 18, 2025, has already surpassed 25.7 billion yen in box office revenue within its first month.
