A Terrible First Encounter I Had Completely Forgotten… Inosuke Appeared Like a Villain from “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” and Beat Zenitsu, Who Was Protecting Nezuko, to a Pulp

When it comes to Tanjirō Kamado’s (voiced by Natsuki Hanae) companions in the anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,” there’s Inosuke Hashibira (voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka) and Zenitsu Agatsuma (voiced by Hiro Shimono). However, the first meeting between these three was nothing short of disastrous. Upon rewatching episode 13 of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc,” you might find yourself surprised, thinking, “How did they ever become friends after that…?”

Right after the battle with the Drum Demon Kyōgai (voiced by Junichi Suwabe) concluded, new trouble arose. The mysterious swordsman clad in a boar pelt, Inosuke, sensed that the demon Nezuko (voiced by Akari Kitō) was hidden inside the wooden box. Inosuke repeatedly kicked Zenitsu, who tried desperately to protect the box, shouting, “It’s precious to Tanjirō!” and even went as far as to threaten, “I’ll skewer both you and the box with my sword!”

Although Inosuke would later become a close comrade who shares joys and hardships with Tanjirō and the others, his behavior in episode 13 was more like that of a villain than an ally. Some viewers, trying to be understanding, commented, “Well, Inosuke’s not entirely wrong… after all, she’s a demon,” while other viewers were shocked, saying things like, “I’ll never forgive that boar” or “That boar guy is just so violent.” This scene left quite an impact.
