[Photos/Images] Is there such a thing as a shower scene where you can't stop trembling? "Jujutsu Kaisen" depicts the inner conflict of Suguru Geto in a masterful direction that "hits you emotionally." 1st

"Jujutsu Kaisen" is highly praised for its unique, anime-specific direction. Among these, episode 29, which depicts the turning point where a special-grade sorcerer strays into the path of a curse user, portrayed the trauma of Suguru Geto (CV: Takahiro Sakurai) in a style that "strikes the viewer's heart, from the eyes and ears," causing a stir as it "hits you emotionally."

In episode 29, we see the high school years of Geto, who would later become a curse user, leading up to the worst incident. Geto and Satoru Gojo (CV:Yuichi Nakamura) were on a mission to guard a girl known as the Star Plasma Vessel, Riko Amanai (CV:Anna Nagase), to maintain the order of the Jujutsu world. However, Amanai is assassinated by someone who was after her life. What Geto witnessed was an eerie scene of followers of a religious group, who had wished for Amanai's death, clapping all at once in front of Gojo, who was holding Amanai's body.

Until then, Geto had placed importance on the salvation of non-sorcerers based on the belief that "Jujutsu exists to protect non-sorcerers." However, upon witnessing the non-sorcerer followers rejoicing at the girl's death, his heart was greatly shaken. While taking a shower, he tried to convince himself, "What I saw is nothing uncommon, a well-known ugliness. Knowing this, I should have chosen to save people as a sorcerer" and "Don't waver. Fulfill your responsibility as a sorcerer." Yet, this inner conflict was expressed through the overlapping sounds of the shower and the applause that remained in his ears that day.
