"Chiikawa" is a popular manga by illustrator Nagano, serialized and posted on X (formerly Twitter) since 2020. It won the Grand Prix at the "Japan Character Awards 2022" and again at the "Japan Character Awards 2024" announced in July 2024. The gap between the cute, small characters and the harsh world they live in has won popularity among people of all ages, and the number of followers has surpassed 4.22 million.
The new series of the "Chiikawa" anime is currently airing within the "Mezamashi TV" program on Fuji Television from July 15, 2025. Also, on July 28, an experiential facility called "Chiikawa Park" opened at Ikebukuro Sunshine City Annex.
