Natsuki Hanae and Kensho Ono: The Worldwide Voice Actor's Adventure - From Stinky Tofu in Taiwan to Gaming Challenges

On August 28, 2025 (Thursday) at 10:00 PM, "Say You To Yo Asobi Thursday [Kensho Ono x Natsuki Hanae] #16" was broadcast on ABEMA's "Anime LIVE Channel." In this broadcast, Natsuki Hanae spoke about his first attempt at eating "stinky tofu" in Taiwan. In the "Let's Play Cooperation Games!" segment, he and Kensho Ono put their "friendship" to the test with the board game "Codenames" and the Famicom game "Ice Climber."

The opening talk kicked off with Hanae discussing his recent trip to Taiwan for an anime event. Having been given a directive in the previous broadcast to "go eat stinky tofu," he shared a video he filmed on location of his attempt. The studio was filled with laughter at the sight of Hanae boldly putting the stinky tofu in his mouth and his comments, "It stinks..." and "This might be a bit much for me..."

Reflecting on the experience, he said, "I liked the taste, but the smell that comes through your nose was a bit like… pants you've worn for three days, or maybe an old rag?" He added, "It was a really fine line! It felt like I could handle it, but not enough to actively want to eat it, so I couldn't even give a big 'yuck!'..." to which Ono quipped, "So that's how that indescribable video came to be, huh? (laughs)."

Following that, when Hanae mentioned he had a work trip to Korea coming up this weekend, Ono asked, "What is your profession?" to which Hanae replied, "I'm a 'WWS.' A Worldwide Voice Actor!" When Ono requested, "Bring back videos of stinky dishes from all over the world!" Hanae replied, "If I come across anything stinky, I'll film it," getting the studio excited.
