Showtaro Morikubo × Nobuhiko Okamoto × Masaya Fukunishi Deliver Shocking Answers in the Quiz on the “Unknown World of Grandpas and Grandmas”!?

On ABEMA, “Say You To Yo Asobi Saturday” #15 aired on the “Anime LIVE Channel” from 9:00 PM on August 23, 2025 (Saturday). This time, game segments themed around the lives and pastimes of seniors, such as “The 100-Year Life Era! The Unknown World of Grandpas and Grandmas” and “Brain Training Challenges Popular Among the Elderly!?” were featured. In alignment with the theme, Showtaro Morikubo and the others appeared dressed as grandpas, each adding their own creative touches to their outfits and enhancing the atmosphere of the show.

■Shocking Answers Erupt in the Quiz About the Unknown World of Grandpas and Grandmas in the “100-Year Life Era”!?

In the “100-Year Life Era! The Unknown World of Grandpas and Grandmas” segment, the cast watched a VTR of interviews with elderly people in Sugamo and Asakusa about their favorite foods and recent worries, and then challenged quiz questions based on the clips. Masaya Fukunishi commented, “I often talk to veteran voice actors, but not so much with elderly people on the street, so I might not know anything about them.” In response, Showtaro Morikubo and Nobuhiko Okamoto said, “The veterans in our industry are a bit unusual (laughs),” and, “Their (physical stamina) is just incredible,” sharing stories about the stamina of veteran voice actors.

In the next quiz, the question was about what a 75-year-old grandmother considered her biggest mistake in life. While Showtaro Morikubo guessed, “Something related to raising children,” Fukunishi and Okamoto struggled, saying, “It’s hard to imagine the life of someone who’s lived more than twice as long as us,” and “I have no idea!”

During the answer reveal, Morikubo remarked, “75 is about the same age as my own parents, so I get it,” and answered, “The man she thought was her husband turned out to be married to someone else.” Okamoto and Fukunishi reacted to this with, “That’s a terrifying story…” and, “So she only realized it recently after all that time?” The correct answer, however, was “I wish I had chosen a better husband.” The grandmother explained, “I never dated anyone besides my husband (in the past). People should think carefully so they don’t regret things like I did,” as she spoke cheerfully.

There was also a moment when Morikubo asked the staff, “See, see, isn’t my answer also correct?” but he was marked wrong. Fukunishi stopped him, saying, “No, no! Just because the grandmother didn’t say more doesn’t mean you can ascribe regret! She said she doesn’t regret it,” which brought a warm and friendly mood to the studio. There was also a quiz asking elderly people in the city which of the three cast members they liked best.
