The First Animated Adaptation of Aki Hayakawa & Himeno’s Weekly Home-Drinking Episode in "Chainsaw Man - The Compilation" Mini Anime: Himeno’s Adorable Excuse "It Was Drunk Me Who Did It!"

During a home-drinking session, Himeno (voiced by Mariya Ise) takes a shocking action toward Aki Hayakawa (voiced by Shogo Sakata), who had fallen asleep... In the anime "Chainsaw Man - The Compilation: Part 1", viewers were charmed by Himeno desperately making excuses for her blunder toward Aki.

Himeno, Aki’s buddy, is a Devil Hunter in the Public Safety Devil Extermination Special Division 4. She has a bad habit of drinking, and when drunk, she tends to do unpredictable things.

The "Chainsaw Man - The Compilation", which collects all 12 episodes of the TV series, also includes "Chensou Biyori," a segment that animates for the first time end-of-volume episodes from the original manga. In the "Chonmage" segment included in Part 1, Himeno and Aki make an appearance. Himeno asks, "Hey, hey. Why did you get such a weird hairstyle?" referring to Aki, who is wearing a chonmage (samurai topknot). Aki explains, "With my contract with the Fox Devil, sometimes I'm asked for things besides skin. When I offer this part, it makes her happy." Upon hearing this, Himeno expresses a desire for Aki’s hair.

Later, during one of their typical weekly home-drinking sessions, Aki falls asleep first and Himeno quietly takes out a pair of scissors... The next morning, Aki realizes his chonmage is gone and is left speechless. In a sweet voice, Himeno pleads, "It was drunk me who did it! Please forgive the sober me! Please, Aki-kun~," trying to justify herself. Apparently, Aki, who has a lot of weaknesses held over him by Himeno, simply makes a complicated face and says, "I have no choice but to forgive you..."
