From the anime "Kaiju No. 8," the synopsis and preview stills for Episode 21 have been released. In addition, a special program titled "Fight, Outbreak! 'Kaiju No. 8' Season 2 ABEMA Special!" that looks back on the journey of the anime so far has been announced for streaming.
Originally serialized in "Shonen Jump+" since July 2020, Naoya Matsumoto's hit comic "Kaiju No. 8" has won numerous manga awards, with 15 volumes published and a combined domestic circulation of over 18 million copies (including digital versions). Its popularity is not limited to Japan, gaining many fans overseas, including North America.
The story centers on Kafka Hibino (voiced by Masaya Fukunishi), who once yearned to join the Japan Defense Force that defeats kaiju. The plot begins to unfold when he awakens to the ability to transform into a kaiju himself after an encounter with a mysterious miniature kaiju.
