Denji and Power's Scathing First Coffee Review: "Mud Water," "Gutter Sludge" – Awkwardness Intensified as Bonus Manga Chapter Gets Animated in "Chainsaw Man - The Compilation"

A comical episode in which Denji (voiced by Kikunosuke Toya) and Power (voiced by Fairouz Ai) try coffee for the first time and deliver scathing reviews has finally been adapted into anime in "Chainsaw Man - The Compilation." Fans were delighted to see a return to the daily life of the "Hayakawa Family" for the first time in a while.

The "Chainsaw Man - The Compilation," which condenses all 12 episodes of the TV series, also includes "Chainsaw Biyori," the first animated adaptation of the bonus chapters from the original manga. In the “Adult Taste” episode featured in the first part, the day-to-day lives of Denji, Aki Hayakawa (voiced by Shogo Sakata), and Power—members of the Hayakawa Family—are depicted.

The three of them visit a café known for its delicious coffee, but when Denji tastes coffee for the first time, he grimaces and exclaims, "This is like mud water!" Power, who initially looks down on Denji saying, "Hmph... Such a fool. A kid wouldn't understand this taste," spits out her first sip in disgust, yelling, "Uegh! Gutter sludge!" Afterward, Denji and Power cause an uproar: "My tongue is tingling! What are you gonna do about it?" "You tricked us! This is just mud!" "It's drinkable gutter sludge!" A male staff member nearby wipes sweat in awkward discomfort.
