[Photos/Images] Fans Go Wild Over the Sudden Appearance of Kyojuro Rengoku! Heartfelt Words to Tengen Uzui, Passing on the Torch With “I'm Counting on You”—Tears Flow at an Unexpectedly Poignant Next Episode Preview 1st

In a completely unexpected turn, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku (voiced by Satoshi Hino), who lost his life in “Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train,” made a surprise reappearance. In the next episode preview for Episode 8 of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc,” he shared a stylish and emotional exchange with Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui (voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi), bringing many viewers to tears.

Rengoku lost his life in a fierce battle with the demon Akaza (voiced by Akira Ishida). His dramatic final moments moved all of Japan to tears, making “Rengoku-san” nothing less than a national character. Given his death within the story, it was widely assumed he would not appear outside of flashbacks. However, in a surprise twist, he appeared in the next episode preview immediately following Episode 8 of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc.”

Usually, the next episode previews feature a comedic tone, but this time the mood shifted dramatically to a serious atmosphere. Uzui, reflecting deeply, said, “Rengoku, how would you fight? I might not be able to do it like you did.” At that moment, Rengoku appeared, replying, “I couldn’t do it like you, either.” Rengoku left his final words: “Please look after young Kamado, the yellow-haired boy, and the boar-headed boy. I’m counting on you, Uzui.” With that, he disappeared. Uzui responded in a strong voice, “Leave it to me—I'll handle it with a bang.”
