The anime "Oshi No Ko," which is set to air its third season in January 2026, has unveiled its second teaser visual, a commemorative video, new character information, and details about a virtual live concert by B Komachi.
"Oshi No Ko," based on the mega-hit manga with over 24 million copies in circulation by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, centers on Goro (voiced by Kento Ito), an obstetrician-gynecologist who reincarnates as Aqua (Takeo Otsuka), the son of his favorite idol, Ai (Rie Takahashi). The story takes a dramatic turn when Ai is killed before his eyes; Aqua enters the entertainment world to uncover the truth behind the incident and seek revenge. Season 1 of the anime aired 11 episodes in 2023, followed by Season 2 from July to October 2024. The third season is scheduled to air in January 2026.
On Sunday, September 14, the "Oshi No Ko Kanto Summer Festival" event was held at Tokorozawa Sakura Town. During the “Season 3 New Information Release Stage” at the festival, the second teaser visual and commemoration video were revealed, and the January 2026 broadcast of Season 3 was officially announced.
Additionally, new character information was released, revealing that Yuto Takenaka will voice Shun Yoshizumi, the assistant director (AD) on the online variety program "Deep Dive ☆ One Chance!" in which Aqua appears. Meanwhile, Yoji Ueda will voice Tetsu Urushibara, the director of "Deep Dive ☆ One Chance!" Cast comments have also been published.
Furthermore, the first-ever virtual live "B Komachi Live Tour 2026 - Beyond the Brilliance VirtualLive -" has been announced. The event visual drawn by Doga Kobo and a teaser PV featuring parts of the 3D live performance have been unveiled.
The live tour will kick off with performances at the Aichi Prefectural Arts Theater Grand Hall on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26, 2026, and is scheduled to be held across three cities—Aichi, Osaka, and Tokyo—for a total of twelve shows.
In anticipation of this event, it was announced that three new B Komachi songs will be produced and released sequentially on the official "Oshi No Ko" YouTube channel starting in October. Additionally, a completely original story, fully supervised by the original creator Aka Akasaka, will appear within the virtual live.
