Hiromu Arakawa, the acclaimed creator behind "Fullmetal Alchemist," is bringing her latest work "Daemons of the Shadow Realm" (currently serialized in Monthly Shonen Gangan) to TV anime, scheduled for broadcast in 2026. Four main characters will be voiced by Kenshō Ono, Yume Miyamoto, Yūichi Nakamura, and Misaki Kuno.

Production is helmed by the powerhouse trio of SQUARE ENIX, Aniplex, and BONES, just as with the "Fullmetal Alchemist" series. The director is Masahiro Andō ("Sword of the Stranger," "Blast of Tempest"), with series composition by Noboru Takagi ("Durarara!!," "Golden Kamuy"), character design by Nobuhiro Arai ("Bungo Stray Dogs"), and music composed by Kenichiro Suehiro ("Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World"). The project features an all-star staff lineup.

The protagonist, Yuru—a boy hunter skilled with a bow and deeply knowledgeable about the mountains—will be voiced by Kenshō Ono, known for roles such as Riku Nanase in "IDOLiSH7" and Yuri Briar in "SPY×FAMILY." Asa, Yuru’s twin sister and an eyepatch-wearing girl, will be voiced by Yume Miyamoto, recognized for her work as Nika Nanaura in "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury" and Jun-hee in the Japanese dub of "Squid Game."

Playing Dera, the easygoing and approachable traveling merchant, is Yūichi Nakamura, a veteran known for portraying many popular roles, including Satoru Gojo in "Jujutsu Kaisen" and Hawks in "My Hero Academia." The small girl with braided hair and a signature hood, Gabu-chan, will be brought to life by Misaki Kuno, who has previously voiced characters such as Xiao Lan in "The Apothecary Diaries" and Kurumi in "Lycoris Recoil."
