Who would have thought that the over-the-knee socks Mitsuri always wears had such a heartwarming story behind them! Viewers were thrilled by Obanai’s clumsy kindness, with reactions like "Oh my, Obanai-san is so cute!", "That’s just too tsundere, it’s adorable," and "So those socks were given by Obanai?"

The "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" anime series is based on the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotoge, which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 2016 to 2020. Set in the Taisho era, it tells the story of Tanjiro Kamado (voiced by Natsuki Hanae), a boy who battles after his family is killed by demons.

The TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc," which began airing in April 2019, quickly became the talk of the town. Its sequel, "Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train," surpassed 50 billion yen in worldwide box office revenue. To date, the manga boasts over 220 million copies sold worldwide, making it one of the most successful series in the history of Japanese manga and anime.

Following the "Unwavering Resolve Arc," the TV anime has aired the "Entertainment District Arc," "Swordsmith Village Arc," and "Hashira Training Arc." Production has also been announced for "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle," a trilogy that will cover the final chapters of the story. "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle - Episode 1: Akaza Returns," which opened in Japan on July 18, 2025, alone grossed over 33 billion yen in its first 60 days. The movie has begun rolling out internationally as well, and combined global box office revenue has surpassed 68 billion yen, including Japan.
