Broadcast on the nationwide MBS/TBS network slot "Super Animeism TURBO," the series achieved the highest average overall viewer rating among all works since the slot’s inception with its first season. It also garnered numerous awards overseas, ranking second in Netflix's weekly global TOP 10 (non-English series), creating a buzz. In the second season, it gained even more support from viewers, recording eighth place in advance theatrical screenings in the US, before concluding its broadcast.

In the storyline, Momo and her friends, using their abilities and a giant Buddha robot, manage to defeat a space monster. Unable to leave the shrunken space monster abandoned in town, Okarun and Jiji transport it to Momo's house. Okarun notices a zipper on the space monster and unzips it, revealing a beautiful girl inside! The girl suddenly kisses Okarun upon waking up! Momo witnesses the kiss between the two, and this is where the TV anime's second season ends. The third season heightens the anticipation as viewers wonder who this beautiful girl is and why she was inside the monster, leading to the next developments.
