Stage Play 'The Summer Hikaru Died': Junsei Motojima & Hikaru Imamaki Cast as Double Leads! Cast, Visuals, and Ticket Information Released [Comments Included]

The main visual, character visuals, cast, staff information, performance schedule, and ticket information for the stage play 'The Summer Hikaru Died' have been unveiled all at once.

'The Summer Hikaru Died' is a manga series by Mokumokuren, currently serialized in KADOKAWA's "Young Ace UP". The series, which falls under the genre of youth horror, has captivated readers with its charming characters and unique world, resulting in a total circulation of over 3.5 million copies as of July 2025. With a TV anime currently airing since July, this marks its first adaptation into a stage play.

Junsei Motojima, known for his leading role in 'Kamen Rider Gotchard', will portray the protagonist Yoshiki Tsuji, marking his first foray into stage acting. The other protagonist, Hikaru, will be played by Teru Imamaki, who starred as Ryoma Echizen in the 4th season of the musical 'The Prince of Tennis'. Other cast members include Mei Tachibana as Asako Yamagishi, Miki Matsuo as Yuta Maki, Rio Sawada as Yuki Tadokoro, Umi Yamano as Rie Kurebayashi, Shoichiro Akaboshi as Hajime Takeda, and Mitsu Murata as Tanaka.

The script and direction are handled by Sotarou Fujii. Having won awards for short plays and worked on musical scripts and direction, Fujii is widely recognized for his talent and dedication to capturing the unique atmosphere of stage performances. The music is composed by Mikihito Sano, a member of the percussion ensemble "LA SENAS".
